October 9, 2012 - CBTF- and USTA-certified Judges are invited to submit an application to judge at the following 2013 National and International competitions:

  • Canadian International Cup Qualifier (Barrie, Ontario; May 18-19, 2013)
  • Canadian Winner/Championships (Moncton, New Brunswick; July 4-7, 2013)
  • World Championships (Almere, Netherlands; August 7-11, 2013)

(Dates listed above are subject to change. Judges selected for any of these events will also have pre- and post-competition responsibilities).

An overview of the 2012-13 National Judges' Selection Process and the 2012-13 Judge Application Forms are attached.

The National Judges' Selection Process was adopted at the 2010 Fall Board Meeting and is in effect for the following 2013 National and International competitions:

Athletes (Individuals, Pairs, Teams and Groups) interested in becoming members of the Canadian contingent that will participate in the International Cup being hosted in Almere, Netherlands August 8-11, 2013 are first required to declare their intent to compete.

Please be aware that Declarations must be received no later than November 15, 2012 to ensure consideration.

July 7, 2012 - The Lynda Garland "Award for Excellence" was presented for the fourth time at the Canadian Baton Twirling Championships in Regina, Saskatchewan. The recipient of Lynda Garland's "Award for Excellence" was Loren Dermody, of Airdrie, Alberta.
