CBTF Technical Committee members are elected to their positions for two-year terms. [Note: Provincial representatives to these bodies are elected according to each province's own by-laws.]
The CBTF recently adopted an alternating election system. Under this new system, some positions will be elected in even-numbered years and other positions will be elected in odd-numbered year.
At the 2009 election, and in the odd-numbered years following, the Technical Committee positions open for election will be:
- Judges Representative
- Coaches Representative
- Athletes Representative
- Group Representative
- Skills Development Program Representative
- Sanction Officer
At the 2010 election, and in the even-numbered years following, the Technical Committee position open for election will be:
- Technical Chair
The position of Coaches' Representative on the CBTF Technical Committee and Board of Directors is scheduled for election this year.
The deadline for nominations to be received by the Nomination Committee for this position is August 16, 2025 (refer to the attached Nomination Form for email address - contact Jeff Johnson at past-president
cbtf [dot] ca if you need instructions for submitting your nomination by regular mail). Voting will be conducted online between August 20, 2025 and September 4, 2025. Results will be announced at the 2025 CBTF Annual General Meeting, September 13, 2025 using Zoom.
This position will be elected for a 2-year term: 2025 AGM through the 2027 AGM.
To make a nomination, both the nominator and the nominee must be CBTF members in good standing.
The attached form includes further details about the nomination requirements and nomination submission process.
CBTF requires the consent of the nominee to allow her/his name to stand for any of these positions. Before submitting a nomination, please contact the potential nominee and obtain their consent to allow their name to stand for nomination. Include this consent when submitting the Nomination Form - forwarding an email confirmation is satisfactory.

Elections will be held at the 2025 CBTF Annual General Meeting, September 13, 2025 using Zoom.
All six positions will be elected for a 2-year term: 2025 AGM through 2027 AGM.
To make a nomination, both the nominator and the nominee must be CBTF members in good standing.
The attached form includes further details about the nomination requirements and nomination submission process for each position. This forms should be used to nominate someone for any of the following positions:
- President
- 2nd Vice-President
- Secretary
