  Sharon Donald moved that, for the Team of the Year CBTF Award, Pairs be included with Teams to conform with the Canada Sports Council criteria, ie: teams consist of 2 or more members. - achieved position of WBTF President
- achieved position of WBTF Technical Chairperson

Selection Process
- Candidates to be selected at provincial level (province to choose how they would do this)
- Candidate's name and short biography to be submitted at Fall CBTF Board Meeting
- Honours/Awards/Archives Committee to compile and organize
- Honours/Awards/Archives Committee to inform each candidate of all pertinent information and awards ceremony

Awards Ceremony
- (celebration of contributions - to be very special)
- held during closing ceremony of CBTF Team Trials
- invite candidates to attend finals

Award
- Must be in good taste

Funding
- To be determined annually at the CBTF Fall Board Meeting.

Note: Recipients will retain their CBTF voting rights should they choose to purchase an annual CBTF membership.

Karen Gratton moved that Section XIV, Part C "CBTF Honourary Membership" of the CBTF Policy Manual be revised as follows:

2(a). The nominee shall have made significant contributions to CBTF and the development of Baton Twirling on a National Level for a minimum of three (3) years.

2(c). Honourary Membership Nomination Forms shall be distributed to all CBTF Board Members by the CBTF First Vice President by August 1st of each year. Forms are to be completed and returned to the CBTF lst Vice President prior to September 30th of each year.

2(e). Copies of the completed nomination forms shall be distributed to the CBTF Executive Committee members thirty (30) days prior to the Fall CBTF Executive Meeting.

2(f). A maximum of three (3) Honourary Members shall be chosen at the Fall Executive Meeting and recognized at a special Awards Ceremony to be held at the next Canadian Championships.

That the calculation of the "Group Challenge Cup" be revised as follows:
a. Provincial Winner/Championship Level A & B Groups: Points for placement (lst = 5 pts, 2nd = 4 pts, 3rd = 3 pts)
b. National Winner/Championship Level A & B Groups: Points for placement (lst = 10 pts, 2nd = 8 pts, 3rd = 6 pts)

In the year 2000 Level B points will be calculated using the Eastern/Western Championships.

Kirk Guttman moved that CBTF pay the costs to construct shipping boxes for large trophies. CBTF will also pay the costs of shipping trophies to and from the National Competitions. Trophies will also be repaired this year (2002) and the costs of repairs will be picked up by CBTF.

INTENT: Holders of the trophies will accept responsibility upon receipt and will be financially responsible for damage to the trophies. The recipient is responsible for engraving costs including name and year.

Anyone who has contributed to the sport of Baton Twirling may be nominated for a CBTF Honorary Membership.

The Honorary Membership Committee shall be comprised of the current Executive of the CBTF. Each year a maximum of 3 honorary members may be chosen for recognition."

Karen Gratton moved that the Sharon Holliday Memorial Award for Sportsmanship be created as an annual CBTF award with the following criteria:

A CBTF member (parent, athlete, coach, judge, volunteer, etc) who exhibits the true meaning of Sportsmanship, as displayed by their interaction with other CBTF members at competitions, social events, ongoing training, and other interaction throughout the year. This person need not have made their mark at the national level, however, being a good sport at the local, provincial and national level, as well as showing good sportsmanship to CBTF members outside of their club and province, is a consideration.

The Selection Committee shall consist of the CBTF Executive and the award presented to a deserving recipient at the Canadian Winner/Championships each year. This first recipient of this award shall be Sharon Holliday and it shall be presented to her family at the 2010 Canadian Team Trials.
