Judging Applications - 2012 Team Trials, 2012 Nationals, 2012 World Championships

October 9, 2011 - CBTF- and USTA-certified Judges are invited to submit an application to judge at the following 2012 National and International competitions:

  • Canadian Team Trials (Toronto, Ontario; May 18-21, 2012)
  • Canadian Winner/Championships (Regina, Saskatchewan; July 6-8, 2012)
  • World Championships (Villebon-sur-Yvette, France; August 2-7, 2012)

(Dates listed above are subject to change. Judges selected for any of these events will also have pre- and post-competition responsibilities).

All registered and current judges who have any of the following CBTF/WBTF certifications are invited to apply:

  • Module 2
  • Module 3 & 4 (old course) or Module 3 (new course-effective Jan/10)
  • Module 5 and/or WBTF Masters Judges

Qualified applicants will be assessed by the 2012 National Judges Selection Committee on three attributes:

  1. Judging experience
  2. A series of 3 practical assignments, distributed one per week beginning November 1 2011
  3. Other qualities (e.g, contributions to the sport in terms of leadership/volunteerism as well as personal growth and development in baton and related disciplines)

The Judges’ Selection Committee has the final and complete authority to determine the members of each judging panel for each of the above competitions. The Judges’ Selection Committee is responsible to the CBTF Board of Directors, Executive and Technical Committee. The CBTF Executive has final and complete authority to determine the members of the Judges Selection Committee.

Completed applications must be received by October 31, 2011.
