July 6, 2010 - One of the two recipients of the 2010 Lifetime Achievement Awards was presented today at the 2010 Canadian Baton Twirling Championships, being held in Toronto, Ontario.

July 5, 2010 - The 2009-2010 Volunteer of the Year award was presented to Elan Paluck at the 2010 Canadian Baton Twirling Championships, being held in Toronto, Ontario.

July 6, 2010 - Final Round results from the WBTF Events portion of the 2010 Canadians have been announced. The competition took place over two days - July 5 and 6.

Final results were announced for the following events:

July 5, 2010 - The first day of competition at the 2010 Canadian Baton Twirling Championships has completed.

July 5, 2010 - The Lynda Garland "Award for Excellence" was presented at the Canadian Baton Twirling Championships in Toronto, Ontario. This year's recipient of Lynda Garland's "Award for Excellence" was Loranne Meek.

July 5, 2010 - The recipients of the 2009 Athlete of the Year awards were announced today at the 2010 Canadian Baton Twirling Championships, being held in Toronto, Ontario.

Each year CBTF presents Junior and Senior, Male and Female Athlete of the Year and the Overall Athlete of the Year awards.

June 14, 2010 - The Coast to Coast Cookbook, a volunteer effort of CBTF members across the country, is now available for purchase.

The cookbook contains over 350 recipes submitted by athletes, coaches, parents, judges and others that have contributed their personal favourites and their competition food secrets!

The 2010 Canadians Organizing Committee is pleased to announce that Bent Imaging, sports photography specialists located in southern Ontario, has been selected as the Official Photographer for the 2010 Canadian Championships.

Further detail will be posted as soon as it is available. However, this day-by-day schedule should assist those making plans to attend 2010 Canadians.

The Provincial Practice schedule for Sunday, July 4 is now finalized (see below).

A few timeslots remain available to Clubs or Individuals if they desire additional practice time - please contact Karen Gratton via email at karengrattonattelus [dot] net if interested. These spots are available on a “first-come, first-serve” basis at the standard hourly rates. 

June 20, 2010 - Further information on the Athletes' Party during the Canadian Championships is now available. Please see the attached flyer.

June 14, 2010 - Our first annual CBTF hockey pool has come to a close! What an exciting NHL playoff season it was! Who would have thought Montreal and Philadelphia would have made Final 4, and that Ovetchkin's Washington, and Sid the Kid's Penguins would be out in the First & Second rounds???

UPDATED June 14, 2010 with additional parking lot option

York University is a large, public, campus with a variety of parking options available. The 2010 Canadians Committee has made arrangements for a  Weekly Parking Pass (automobile only) to be available at one of two lots on the York campus.

All members of the CBTF World Championships Contingent (athletes, coaches, judges, officials) are ambassadors for Baton Twirling in Canada and of the CBTF. This privilege is accompanied by certain expectations and responsibilities, as outlined in the attached Code of Conduct.

The Canadian Tracksuit Order form is attached. All athletes and coaches that are members of the WC 2010 Contingent are required to have and wear the official Team Canada jacket & pants at selected functions in Norway.
