Karen Gratton proposed that a Special Needs Commission be created to address concerns and procedures regarding Special Needs athletes. Alberta is to develop recommendations for presentation at the 1996 Fall Technical Meeting. DIRECTIVE: That Alberta receive input from Tanya Mouland (coach of a special needs athlete), an Alberta athlete's parent and a BC athlete's parent. DIRECTIVE: That Jennifer Meron, CBTF Group Rep, send in proposals from a group's perspective. |

Tina Larson proposed that Saskatchewan strike a Commission to develop a plan to initiate a standardized program for "Pre" events. Consideration for incorporation into the Badge Program, Coaching Program and Judging Program must also be included. RECOMMENDATION: That future plans for Level C events also be considered. RECOMMENDATION: That "Pre" event athletes be required to wear simple, undecorated body suit leotards. DIRECTIVE: To develop a standard Pre-Medley routine first, followed by Pre-Solo Dance Twirl and Pre-Solo. DIRECTIVE: Draft of this Proposal to be presented at the 1996 FTM. |

Alison Brown proposed that a Commission to address qualifying procedures (Individual/Duet Events) for national championships be created. Ontario is to develop recommendations for presentation at the 1996 FTM. INTENT: To focus special attention to current qualifications with regards to the Invitational Open. DIRECTIVE: Group Commission is to address group qualifying procedures at Invitational Open and report this to the Commission for inclusion in the 1996 FTM presentation. |

Tina Larson proposed that Elan Paluck strike a CBTF Coaching Certification Program Advisory Commission to address revisions to the Coaches Certification Program. Preliminary report to be presented at the 1996 Fall Technical Meeting. CLARIFICATION: The Commission would be responsible to gather data, ideas, suggestions, materials and information from current Coaches Course Conductors and other interested persons to assist in upgrading the three Coaches Courses now in use. |

Betty Davis moved that a Declaration Committee (Commission) be formed to make the necessary adjustments and corrections to the present Declaration Process. This Commission should be formed in Ontario and co-chaired by Jennifer Meron and Betty Davis. This proposal must be ready by the Spring Technical Meeting (1998). | Betty Davis moved that a commission be established to review and document the roles and responsibilities of the CBTF Executive, CBTF Technical Committee, CBTF Board of Directors and CBTF Group Commission. This information is to be provided to the CBTF Board of Directors 45 days prior to the CBTF Summer Board Meeting in 2003 for review. Comments from the CBTF Board members are to be provided to the commission 15 days prior to the 2003 Summer Board Meeting. The prepared document together with comments received will be presented at the 2003 Summer Board Meeting for final approval. |
