  Elva Taylor moved that, for the 1989 Canadian Individual Freestyle Team Trials we allow those athletes not having proof of Canadian citizenship already entered in the Team Trials to perform for score sheet only.

 

1989 SBM MOTION #8
  Ron Kopas moved that, in the individual events during the Canadian Championships (ie: solo, medley, solo dance twirl, two-baton) any athlete known as a non-Canadian citizen who has entered may compete for score sheet only for 1989.

 

1989 SBM MOTION #9
  Ron Kopas moved that a known non-Canadian citizen may compete in a group event at the 1989 Canadian Championships only due to proof of citizenship not being requested on the entry form.

 

1989 FBM MOTION #5
  Ron Kopas moved that an athlete with Landed Immigrant status and meets the CBTF Residency requirements (ref: Policy Manual 13.0) may compete in the Canadian Championships - CBTF Teams, Dance Team, Corps events, Solo, Medley, Solo Dance Twirl, 2-Baton.

 

1989 FBM MOTION #9
  Brenda Lebel moved that, in order to represent Canada on the Canadian Team in Freestyle Individual and Team events, the individual must be a Canadian citizen. A Landed Immigrant who meets the CBTF residency requirement may compete up to and including the Canadian competition.

 

1989 FBM MOTION #10
 

Brenda Lebel moved that when an athlete with Landed Immigrant status who complies with the residency requirements of CBTF, qualifies for semi- finals and finals at the Canadian Team Trials, the next Canadian citizen(s) will also be included on the Team.

  Carol Robinson moved that we adopt the recommendation from the Membership Committee Meeting of Saturday, May 21, 1994 regarding residency and we add; "Any athlete may apply to the CBTF Membership Chairperson for special consideration." (ie: someone working temporarily in another province/state/country).

  Carol Robinson moved that we accept the Transfer of Residency Form as presented and amended.

 

1994 FBM MOTION #50
  Sharon Donald moved that we accept the CBTF Residency Policy as accepted by the Executive November 11, 1994 and presented to the Board of Directors November 13, 1994.

 

1997 FBM MOTION #27
 

Betty Davis moved that the CBTF First Vice-President investigate the legal rights regarding "Permanent Residents" competing for Provincial and Canadian Championship Titles.

  Ramona Gianasi moved that an athlete must be a Canadian citizen to hold a Canadian Individual/Duet title.

 

2001 AGM MOTION #4
 

Karen Gratton moved that Article D, Section 12 "Citizenship", Item 12.1 of the CBTF Constitutional Bylaws be amended to read as follows:

12.1 Canadian Citizen shall refer to a person who was born in Canada or to a person who has been granted Canadian Citizenship by the Government of Canada.
