May 15, 2018 - Today the Canadian Baton Twirling Federation is pleased to announce the Team Manager for the Canadian Contingent to the WBTF World Championship in Kissimmee, Florida. Nancy Lightheart have been selected as the World Championship Contingent Team Manager.

May 4, 2017 - Please take note of the preliminary schedule for the 2018 Canadian Winner/Championship.

After entries have been received and processed, the schedule will be updated with start times for each event.

May 1, 2018 - Updated to include the results of the WBTF Compulsory Set Draw.

March 7, 2018 - Dana Peteleski, CBTF Technical Chair, today announced the Compulsory Moves Set draw procedure that will be used for the 2018 competition cycle.

Material from the February 2018 webinar that provided an update on the Coaching Program Realignment Project is now available for viewing online. The recorded webinar and the slides (including slides added from the Q&A portion of the webinar) are both listed below.

The Coaching Program Realignment is making several significant changes to the CBTF Coaching education programs:

  • Born: October 9, 1938 in Reading, Berkshire, England
  • Immigrated to Winnipeg, Canada in January 1946
  • Passed Away: October 10, 2017 (age 79)
  • Predeceased by her parents and son Michael Baril
  • Survived by husband John, sister Francis, daughter Laurette & family, son Raymond, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

As part of the athlete accreditation process, the CBTF requires that all athletes provide a Health Certificate indicating they are in generally good health and are fit to compete.

The map below shows the relative locations of the 2018 Canadian Winner/Championship competition venue (University of Manitoba, Investors Group Athletic Centre), the Best Western Plus Pembina Inn & Suites (Headquarters Hotel), and the Canad Inns Destination Centre Fort Garry. Information sheets for each hotel are also attached. THE COMPETITION VENUE AND HEADQUARTERS HOTEL HAVE CHANGED SINCE THE FALL CONFERENCE.

November 24, 2017 - CBTF- and USTA/WBTF-certified Judges are invited to submit an application to judge at the following 2018 National and International competitions:

November 22, 2017 - The Canadian Baton Twirling Federation is now accepting applications for the position of Team Manager for the Canadian Contingent to the 2018 WBTF World Championship in Kissimmee, Florida.

CBTF will select one Team Manager, who will be responsible for the World Championship and travel with the contingent, and funded as is usual.

August 27, 2017 - These skills are from the former Bronze 2-Baton pin of the CBTF Skills Development Program. The Bronze 2-Baton pin has been replaced with the 2-Baton I routine, however the skills included here are excellent drills for any athlete starting to learn 2-Baton.
