Judging Applications - 2015 IC Qualifier, 2015 Nationals, 2015 International Cup

October 23, 2014 - CBTF- and USTA-certified Judges are invited to submit an application to judge at the following 2015 National and International competitions.

  • Canadian International Cup Qualifier (Winnipeg, MB) May 15-18, 2015
  • Canadian Winner/Championships and Maple Leaf Open (Toronto, ON) June 27-July 2, 2015
  • WBTF International Cup (Abbotsford, BC) August 4-9, 2015
  • IBTF Grand Prix (Abbotsford, BC) August 10-11, 2015
  • Note: Specific arrival and departure dates may vary - Judges selected for any of these events will also have pre- and post-competition responsibilities.

Completed applications must be received by November 3, 2014.

All registered and current judges who have any of the following CBTF/WBTF certifications are invited to apply:

  • CBTF Module 2
  • CBTF Module 3 & 4 (old course) or CBTF Module 3 (new course-effective Jan/10)
  • CBTF Module 5 and/or WBTF Masters Judges

ALL CBTF Judges with the M2 certification or higher are strongly encouraged to participate in the practical assignment series as a learning opportunity.

Completion of the Technical Assignment will earn points in the CBTF Continuing Professional Development program.

Qualified applicants will be assessed by the 2015 National Judges Selection Committee on three attributes:

  1. Judging experience
  2. A series of time-limited practical assignments, distributed beginning November 7, 2014
  3. Other qualities (e.g, contributions to the sport in terms of leadership/volunteerism as well as personal growth and development in baton and related disciplines)

The Judges’ Selection Committee has the final and complete authority to determine the members of each judging panel for each of the above competitions. The Judges’ Selection Committee is responsible to the CBTF Board of Directors, Executive and Technical Committee. The CBTF Executive has final and complete authority to determine the members of the Judges Selection Committee.
