CBTF Nomination Form - 2018 Elections

Nominations for positions on the CBTF Executive and Technical Committee are now being accepted. Both the nominator and the nominee must be CBTF members (nominees, if successful, must upgrade to a Full Membership or equivalent).

The deadline for nominations to be received by the Nomination Committee is August 15, 2018 (refer to the Nomination Form for email addresses). Elections will be held at the CBTF Annual General Meeting, during the Fall Conference in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Please refer to the attached form for further details about the nomination process. This form should be used to nominate someone for any of the following positions:

  • 1st Vice-President
  • Treasurer
  • Technical Chair

These three Executive positions are for a 2-year term, September 2018 - August 2020.

Before submitting a nomination, please contact the potential nominee and obtain their consent to allow their name to stand for nomination. Include a copy of this consent when submitting the Nomination Form.

Technical Committee Elections

CBTF Technical Committee members are elected to their positions for two-year terms. [Note: Provincial representatives to these bodies are elected according to each province's own by-laws.]

The CBTF recently adopted an alternating election system. Under this new system, some positions will be elected in even-numbered years and other positions will be elected in odd-numbered year.

At the 2009 election, and in the odd-numbered years following, the Technical Committee positions open for election will be:

  • Judges Representative
  • Coaches Representative
  • Athletes Representative
  • Group Representative
  • Skills Development Program Representative
  • Sanction Officer

At the 2010 election, and in the even-numbered years following, the Technical Committee position open for election will be:

  • Technical Chair
